A Mapusa Fast Track court has rejected the bail applications of 14 of the 15 suspects in connection with the vandalism at the iconic Souza Lobo restaurant in Calangute on December 11, 2021.
Police have, so far, arrested 18 persons in the matter.
The accused, Gajendra Singh alias Chotu, Sunil Bhomkar, Rahul alias Surendar Rathod, Sunil Rathod, Sitaram Shirodkar, Avinash Singh, Vijay Prakash, Santoshchandra Das, Sohail Rana, Hemant Kumar Morsingh Joshi, Pushpendra Mina, Mahamadd Sadique, Surajkumar Singh, pankaj Singh, Rohit Minj had applied for bail.
Only Sunil Rathod has been released on bail.
Meanwhile, the Crime Branch have also arrested Arjun Ram Prasad, Malinga Raya Pujari and Kishore Salvi. Crime Branch PI Rahul Parab is investigating the case.
There is also a counter complaint filed in this case and police have arrested Vikas Pawar, Anup Tripathi, Aditya Raul and eight others who were released on bail.
