For a second day in a row, Goa on Friday reported a daily mortality rate of nine due to Covid even as the 24-hour count of new infections declined to 2668.
The positivity rate also declined to below forty at 37.42%.
Friday's nine deaths spiked the State's cumulative death toll to 3,594.
The health department’s daily bulletin also recorded 3,145 recoveries on Friday bringing down the State's active case load to 21,974.
Goa, meanwhile, vaccinated 79.17 % of the eligible beneficiaries in the 15 to 18 age group with first dose. Of the eligible 74,000 beneficiaries in this age group, 58,583 have been vaccinated with first dose.
As regards to the booster dose nearly 17,654 i.e. 14.20% received the dose. Goa has fully vaccinated 98.14 % of its adult population i.e. 11,44,321 people with both doses of the vaccine.
