In a development that will ring in good news, the number of patients admitted in the South Goa district hospital and the ESI hospital has come down to 218 on Tuesday evening.
While the South Goa district hospital was playing host to around 173 patients, around 45 patients were undergoing treatment at the ESI hospital.
On bed availability, the number of vacant beds in the South Goa district hospital was put at 395, while another 190 beds were vacant at the ESI hospital as on Tuesday.
