The Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Associations of India (CREDAI) has welcomed the Government's decision to develop Kadamba Plateau into a satellite town.
Goa CREDAI President Nilesh Salkar said that the Plateau has scope for well-planned infrastructure with systematic development and sought clear guidelines for alloting 400 Floor Area Ratio (FAR).
"Kadamba plateau being in the nascent stage of development that it is, has scope to be a well-planned infrastructure with systematic development. Considering the fact that the government plans to use professional planning agencies, it can become a landmark location and so keeping a 400 FAR would make a lot of sense," said Salkar.
"However, there should be clear guidelines for allotting FAR and additional FAR should be allotted with method and transparency. The government will do well to revisit the definition of the word 'zone'. Needless to say, development should be permitted only after infrastructure is in place," Salkar added.
