Crime Branch raids 2 locales in North Goa, seizes drugs

With the impending opening up of tourism in the near future post the ebbing of the Covid-19 second wave, the Goa Police's Crime Branch has turned the screws on the narco-trade. It nabbed a Nigerian national at Arambol and in raids at two locales seized an assortment of drugs.

Drugs worth Rs two-lakh were seized in the two raids, one each at Arambol and Anjuna.

Oformata Chokwudi (45) was arrested with drugs suspected to be MDMA at Arambol. 

In the Anjuna raid, an Andhra Pradesh native M Reddy (27) was arrested with ganja worth Rs one-lakh, an official of the Crime Branch said.
