Acting on the basis of a lookout notice in connection with an alleged financial fraud, the managing director of a cryptocurrency platform was detained at Dabolim Airport on Thursday night.
A resident of Hyderabad had lodged a complaint against the platform stating that several investors did not receive the promised returns. The company has links across the country and in Dubai.
The MD was reportedly planning a meeting in the State from February 12 to 14 and a lookout notice was issued against him. He was detained on his arrival at Dabolim Airport on Thursday night and was later handed over to Hyderabad Police.
