Cuncolim council dy to face no trust

In an interesting development, seven members of the 12-member Cuncolim Civic body have submitted a no confidence motion against Cuncolim Municipal Vice-Chairperson Mario Moraes.

Cuncolim Municipal Chairperson Lavita Mascarenhas has issued a notice, convening a meeting of the Council to discuss the no trust against deputy on March 20 at 11 am.  
The motion against Mario comes days after Chairperson Lavita had survived a no trust motion against her tabled by a group led by the Vice-Chairperson. In fact, moments after surviving the no trust motion, Lavita had told the media that a no confidence motion will soon be moved against the Vice-Chairperson.  
Commenting on the development, Mario said that he has still not received the meeting notice, but hastened to add that he has no problem if seven members of the body has signed the notice.
