The high-profile police-politician-drug nexus then unfolded.
The Sonali Phogat murder case has flashed back to the fateful date February 18, 2008, when Scarlet's semi-clad bruised body was found washed ashore on Anjuna beach. She too was last seen near Curlies shack.
The ongoing controversy surrounding Phogat's death also takes one back to August 12, 2021, when Goa's daughter Siddhi Naik was found dead on Calangute beach. In the year-old case, the police refused to believe she was murdered but a raging controversy forced the Goa Police to transfer the case to Crime Branch that registered a homicide FIR.
