MARGAO: The Curtorim Zilla panchayat member Michelle Rebelo led a delegation along with Congress General Secretary Moreno Rebelo and the locals of the village to lodge a complaint against recurrent power failures and unrepaired dug-up roads due to underground cabling posing danger the pedestrians and motorists at large.
The delegation called on Superintending Engineer Rajiv Samant and his team and he has promised to revert at the earliest. “We had a local woman entrepreneur Berta D'costa who poured out her grievance as to how she underwent a huge loss in her bakery business due to the power failure. To our surprise immediate action has been taken on the electricity pole in Maina where the neutral cable from one end to another was damaged”, Rebello said, while adding “could see some action being taken by the SC regarding the dug up roads too”.
