MARGAO: Superintendent of police, South Sunita Sawant has said that DySP, Santosh Desai has been told to cap the ongoing investigations into the complaint lodged against Colva PSI Abhiniv Shirodkar.
Even as a video of another woman claiming harassment from the Colva police went viral on Wednesday, the district police said that DySP Desai has been told to look into the matter as well.
She said PSI Shirodkar has been transferred from the Colva police station to the Margao police headquarters. “DySP Santosh Desai is inquiring into the allegations made by the woman that the PSI allegedly told her to lick the officer’s shoe”, she said, adding that the inquiry officer is expected to cap the inquiry at the earliest.
