VALPOI

At a time when banks seek to improve their services, long queues at the SBI branch at Valpoi have left many customers angry and disappointed.

According to unhappy customers, the SBI branch at Valpoi is their main bank for their business, salaried and personal accounts. Many customers also rely on the SBI for various government schemes.

“But since the last six months, there has been less staff at the bank and we have been held up in long queues,” complained one customer.

“Very often, we have been standing in a queue for as long as one hour. Despite complaints with the branch manager, nothing has been done in the matter.”

“Unhappy with the service, some customers have even closed their accounts with the SBI and if this problem persists, other customers could also do the same,” the customer added.

When these grievances were put before the branch manager, he said the issue of staff shortage has already been forwarded to their senior officials.
