Vasco police arrested a youth on charges of illegal possession of drugs at Dabolim.

According to sources at Vasco police station, a narcotics raid was conducted near Chaddi Stop, behind Vales house at Dabolim.

Police nabbed a 24-year-old waiter, Boresh Karadanpanvar red-handed, residing behind Vishal Mega Mart, on charges of illegally possessing 50 grams of ganja, valued at Rs 5,000, concealed in his scooter.

"The accused has been arrested under the NDPS Act and Vasco police will continue its drive against narcotics," said Vasco PI Nilesh Rane.

Vasco PSI Pramila Fernandes is investigating the case under the supervision of PI Nilesh Rane and guidance of Mormugao DySP Rajendra Raut Desai.
