Damu hits out at Vijai over jobs

MARGAO
Chairman of Vibrant Margao Panel, BJP leader Damu Naik, on Friday fired a fresh salvo at Goa Forward Chief Vijai Sardesai challenging the Fatorda to place in public domain the jobs he has provided to the people of Fatorda and the projects initiated in the constituency during his two-year stint as MLA.

Addressing the media after inducting a group of persons from Fatorda, including Muslims and OBC, into the BJP, Damu said people from all sections of society, including the minorities and social groups are joining the BJP on the plank of development.

While welcoming the group into the party-fold, the former two-time Fatorda MLA dared Sardesai to come out with the figures on the jobs provided to the youth of Fatorda in the last nine years and a half. “The Fatorda MLA was a minister and a deputy chief minister in the BJP government. He should tell the people now how many jobs he has provided to the local youth and the projects initiated by the MLA in the last nine years and a half,” he said.

Making a humble plea to the people of Margao and Fatorda to vote and elect the candidates contesting on the BJP-backed Vibrant Margao panel, Damu urged the people to place and trust in the panel to ensure progress and development of the city. “For the last 15 years, people are aware what sort of development has taken place in the city.”
