Daylight robbery bid foiled in Chinchinim; panch member injured by minor thief

Thieves made an abortive robbery bid at Durga-Chinchinim in broad daylight on Wednesday.

At around 2 pm on Wednesday, the miscreants made an attempt to rob a house at Durga- Chinchinim. When the neighbour raised alarm, local Chinchinim panchayat member Gerson Gomes chased the thieves including a minor of around 10 years.

Gerson was left unconscious after the minor boy attacked him with a helmet. He is presently under medical observation.
