Chief Minister Pramod Sawant called upon the tax payers to take advantage of the one-time settlement (OTS) scheme to clear all pending tax payments to the government.
He said 11,800 people had filed their applications for one-time settlement, last time, when the GST commissioner had declared the one-time settlement scheme.
“We have to settle everything. We have to clean up. All pending issues related to VAT, GST and excise should be cleared. The GST team is working tirelessly to settle all the issues. Tax payers should come forward to settle all tax-related issues,” Sawant said.
He said if the defaulting tax payers come forward to clear all their tax claims under the one-time settlement scheme then the benefits will be passed on to them.
