Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president J P Nadda will arrive on a two-day visit in Goa on July 12 where he will hold meetings with ministers, MLAs, office bearers and various other units of the party’s organization apparatus in the State, in order to prepare the party for the 2022 assembly elections.
State BJP President, Sadanand Tanavde on Saturday announced that party’s national general secretary (organization) B L Santosh will also accompany the national president on his tour to the State while the party’s national general secretary and Goa observer CT Ravi was expected to be in Goa on Saturday evening.
During his visit, Nadda is expected to meet various party units in the State including the BJP’s core committee in the State.
“Our national president will hold separate meetings with ministers, MLAs and later hold a combine meeting with the legislative wing of the party. He will also hold discussions with the organizational heads of different party units,” Tanvade informed.
“The State assembly polls are due in another six months and therefore we need to gear up to face the electorate,” he said and added the discussion will focus on the party’s preparedness for the forthcoming polls.
Tanavde said discussion on Covid management may not be on the menu of Nadda during this meeting with the party organization and lawmakers.
“Our party is always in touch with central leadership vis-Ã -vis the situation of Covid in the state. We hold virtual meetings with the leaders on a day-to-day basis. So they are aware of every detail,” he said.
“The State government has managed the corona pandemic very well and Goa is one of the few states in the country, where covid patients were treated very well,” he added.
