PANAJI:
A delegation visited the Shri Mahamaya Kalika Devasthan Hall in Van, Dicholi, following an invitation from the All Goa Tvastha Kasar Samaj. The purpose of the visit was to engage with community members and understand their concerns.
During the interaction, the delegation took note of various issues faced by the community and offered prayers at the Shri Mahamaya Kalika temple for the welfare of all. A written memorandum was also submitted, urging the inclusion of the Kasar community in the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category.
Present at the event were community president Rajendra Kasar, vice president Mahesh Tambat, general secretary Diwakar Sawant, senior BJP member Narayan (Baba) Kalekar, Manohar Kalekar, Tulshidas Chibde, and Mapusa BJP Mandal president Yogesh Khedekar.
