Delhi tourist jumps to
death at Calangute
MAPUSA: A Delhi tourist committed suicide by jumping off the fourth floor of a guesthouse in Calangute on Thursday.
Calangute Police informed that Sahel Gupta (32) from Delhi had come with his friends and they were putting up at a guesthouse at Gauravaddo, Calangute.
According to his friends, Gupta was acting very unusual and appeared mentally unsound. They then contacted his family members, police informed.
His mother came down and both were supposed to leave for Delhi on Thursday noon.
But on Thursday, Gupta woke up early morning at around 5 am, went up to the fourth floor of the guest house and jumped down, resulting in his instant death.
After post mortem, the body was handed over to the relatives.
