Delhi Social Welfare Minister Rajendra Pal Gautam on Thursday said social welfare schemes followed in his state would be followed in Goa if AAP were to come to power.
“AAP will successfully usher in good governance which has emerged in Delhi,” said Gautam during a news conference in Panaji on Thursday.
When asked to detail those social welfare schemes that AAP had planned for Goa, Gautam said schemes like pension to widows, senior citizens, differently-abled persons and recreational centres would be implemented in Goa.
“The Delhi government is providing free coaching facility to around 15,000 students in 42 institutes, with Rs 2,500 as stipend. Besides, there are also women welfare schemes,” he said.
AAP Goa convenor Rahul Mhambre said his party would focus on offering social service schemes which would make people more skilled.
“The AAP model in Delhi is a successful model and everyone in Goa is admiring that model,” said Mhambre.
