Congress MLA Reginaldo Lourenco has urged Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and TCP Minister Chandrakant Kavlekar to immediately demolish the two remaining buildings at Ruby Residency in Canacona.
In his petition, the three-time MLA claimed that though the committee of experts had advised to raze all the remaining three buildings to the ground citing unstable structure, only one was demolished for namesake.
“It is important to note that the report submitted by Commission of Inquiry into the tragedy citing the reasons for the collapse had cited poor conceptual designs, inherent faulty structural design and defective execution of work at the site,” he recalled.
