The State government has re-constituted the term of Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Limited (IPSCDL), retaining IAS officer Sanjit Rodrigues as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director. Surprisingly, Rodrigues appointment comes despite his transfer to Ladakh.
In September, the Union Home Ministry had issued transfer orders of IAS Sanjit Rodrigues along with two others. However, he is yet to be relieved from the State administration.
As reported earlier, Rodrigues was not relieved due to pending works under Smart City Mission; the deadline for which is March 2025 set by the Centre. He had begun heading IPSCDL more than a year ago when the state government was in the eye of a storm over the delayed works under the Mission.
Meanwhile, Chief Secretary IAS V Candavelou is appointed as the new Chairman of IPSCDL, following his predecessor Puneet Kumar Goel’s transfer to the Central government.
The other Directors of the IPSCDL include, Minister for Revenue Atanasio Monserrate, Secretary Finance, Secretary Urban Development, CEO, North Collector Sneha Gitte, Joint Secretary Urban Development Brijesh Manerkar, CCP Commissioner Clen Madeira, City Mayor Rohit Monserrate and PWD Chief Engineer Uttam Parsekar.
