With the job scam cases surfacing in South Goa district since the last few days, Director General of Police, Goa Alok Kumar on Tuesday visited the South district police headquarters to take a review of the ongoing cases at the police stations at Mardol, Ponda, Canacona and Vasco.
The DGP went into a huddle with district police Chief, Superintendent of Police Sunita Sawant and the Sub-divisional Police Officers of Ponda, Canacona and Vasco to take a review of the criminal cases.

The district police Chief, SP Sawant later told the media that the DGP was briefed on the on going investigations into the job scam cases, adding further that the Police Chief was briefed on the further investigations that remains to be done in these cases.
Giving details in the job scam cases, SP Sawant said the accused arrested in the cases are all in custody, including Deepashree Gawas, Yogesh and Sandeep, besided Pooja Naik.
“We had sought the custody of the accused as part of the day-to-day investigations. The DGP has taken the status of the cases”, she added.
To a question, the district police chief said that investigations are moving in the right directions in the case, adding that evidence is coming on record in these matters
