Third case against Priya

BICHOLIM

Bicholim police have registered another case against the accused, Priya Yadav, on charges of cheating a resident of Bicholim on the pretext of providing a job, shops and properties.

According to SDPO Jivba Dalvi, Ashok Somnath Panigrahi of Bordem-Bicholim lodged a complaint informing that between 2017 and 2023, the accused Priya Yadav of Kolhapur fraudulently induced him to pay her an amount of Rs 18 lakh approximately in different parts and on different occasions.

The accused is alleged to have cited various reasons such as buying of landed properties, selling of shops in Kolhapur and providing job in railways to the complainant's son.

In this connection, Bicholim police have registered an FIR against Yadav.

At present, Yadav is in police custody in connection with a second case against her and police is expected to also take her into custody in the present case.

Further investigation is in progress by LPSI Sonali Harmalkar under supervision of Bicholim PI Dinesh Gadekar and Bicholim SDPO Shri Jivba Dalvi and under the overall supervision of North Goa SP Akshat Khaushal.
