Dhangars raise issues of land rights, schemes

Members of the Goa Dhangar Samaj Seva Sangh have submitted a written representation to Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on issues including land rights and schemes that have been offered to their community.

In the letter by B D Mote, president of the association that is based in Sattari said the Dhangar community were staying in government revenue land for several years and had sent several requests to the government to be regularised but say it has till date not been done.   
Similarly, Mote has also said questioned approvals for a proposal to grant land in Bhuipal for sports and cultural activities for the Goa Dhangar Samaj Seva Sangh. 
On the issue of the Atal Asray Yojana, the president 
also raised questions to pending applications for house repair and new construction under the Social Welfare 
department.
