Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has said that dialysis facilities would be started at the new hospital in Tuem-Pernem.
He was addressing queries during the Sarkar Tumchya Dari (Government at your doorstep) for Pernem and Mandrem constituencies at Kamleshwar Higher Secondary School in Korgao.
At present, the Tuem hospital does not have the required facilities, infrastructure and manpower.
At a separate news conference, former ZP member Deepak Calangutkar, Tuem former sarpanch Vilasini Naik, former sarpanch Nilesh Kandolkar and panch Anand Salgaonkar demanded the opening of the Tuem hospital only when it is fully completed and equipped with the required facilities and staff.
