Stating that the fish, vegetable and flower market vendors cannot be classified as street vendors, the town vending committee (TVC) of Mapusa has decided to seek legal opinion on the status of such vendors that have a roof on their heads.
The Mapusa TVC members at a meeting held in the Mapusa Municipal Council which was chaired by the Chief Officer who is the chairman of the committee, it was also decided that the Council will frame by-laws under the Street Vendors Act and distribute among the TVC members in the next meeting.
