BJP MLA of Mandrem constituency Dayanand Sopte has been admitted at Manipal Hospital in Dona Paula on Tuesday. Sopte had tested positive for Covid-19 on Monday along with St Cruz BJP MLA Tony Fernandes
While both the MLAs are asymptomatic, Sopte had initially chosen to isolate at home while Fernandes had preferred to be admitted at Manipal Hospital on Monday itself.
PANAJIThe Goa Government has finally capped the rates for Covid-19 treatment in private hospitals with ICU facilities. According to the government decision, the general wards will be charged at Rs 12,000 per day, twin sharing rooms at Rs 15,000 per day, single private rooms at Rs 18,000 per day and ICU with ventilator occupancy will be priced at Rs 25,000 per day.
