Reiterating that differently abled children are an integral part of society who need care and affection, Social Welfare Minister Milind Naik said these children need to be rehabilitated in society.
“The path may not be easy but with grit and determination, they can also lead a good life if all sections of society lend them a helping hand,” said Naik, while speaking at the annual day of Sanjay School in Porvorim.
“Differently abled children also posses some inherent skills and talents. Parents and teachers should unearth these skills and talents so that these students become assets to society,” said the minister, while emphasising a good connect between teachers and students for better productivity and performance. Chairman of Sanjay Centre for Special Education Guruprasad Pawaskar and PTA President Atul Chowdury also spoke at the function. The students presented a cultural programme, which included folk dances, mando, songs and skits.
