PANAJI: The government has relieved Director of Official Language Prakash Vazrikar of his charge and has asked him to report to his parent department.
In another development, the Government has also transferred Umeshchandra Joshi the administrator of the Goa Sanjivani Sakhar Karkhana who has been asked to report to the personnel department.
Instead, Director of Higher Education Prasad Lolayekar has been given the additional charge for the time being. While the order says that the order is issued on the recommendations of the Goa Services Board and with the approval of the Government, it is learnt that the director was moved out after the Goa Konkani Academy awards controversy that recently shook the state.
Damodar Morajkar Additional Collector of the Ponda sub-district has been given the additional charge as administrator of the Sanjivani Sakhar Karkhana.
