Door-to-door vaccine drive for homebound in Panaji

PANAJI

The Panaji Urban Health Centre (UHC) will begin home a vaccination drive from Tuesday for the homebound who are unable to travel to vaccination centres.

The Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) is assisting the UHC officials to reach out to such people during the vaccination drive.

"There are around 50 people who are unable to travel to the vaccination centre. Most of them have contacted CCP and have registered for the vaccination,” said CCP Mayor Rohit Monserrate.

The CCP has appealed to citizens interested in availing the facility.

Coopted Corporator Kishore Sastry said many people had contacted him and registered for the service after his phone number was shared on social media.

“We will reach out to all these people during the vaccination drive,” said Sastry.
