Agitated residents of Dovondem on Sunday evening upped the ante against the mega housing projects proposed in the ward.

Days after they stormed the Margao Municipal building demanding action by the Municipal Council against the proposed projects, the residents took out a candle light  procession in the ward after prayers at a local chapel.

The people have vowed to oppose tooth and nail all the five mega housing projects proposed in the ward.

The residents sent a message loud and clear to the elected representatives as well as real estate developers that that mega housing projects are not welcome at Dovondem and they will fight to the last to oppose housing projects in the ward.
