Dr Priyanka Raikar, a paediatric neuro occupational therapist and founder of Miracle: Paediatric Neuro Therapy Clinics in Panjim and Margao, has been honoured with the Youth Occupational Therapy Entrepreneur Award 2026 by the International Chapter – All India Occupational Therapy Association. The award recognises her sustained contribution to occupational therapy in Goa after returning from the United States.
The honour was presented during Occupational Therapy Education Day celebrations at Government Medical College, Nagpur, in January 2026, in the presence of senior medical professionals and occupational therapy leaders from India and abroad.
Dr Raikar received a citation, certificate and a cash prize of Rs 21,000 for her leadership and contribution to the field. The international award committee comprised occupational therapists from Canada, the United States and India.
She is known for her work in paediatric neurotherapy using evidence-based scientific techniques. Her clinical practice has supported children with mild developmental difficulties as well as those with complex disabilities across Goa and nearby regions.
Alongside her clinical work, Dr Raikar has been actively involved in social initiatives related to disability support and inclusion. She has collaborated with organisations such as Young Indians–Confederation of Indian Industry, the Disability Rights Association of Goa, educational institutions and Rotary Clubs.
