Driver booked for harassing Nuvem woman

A case has been registered against a Calata resident, Rupesh Parsekar, after a Nuvem woman filed a complaint alleging persistent harassment.

According to the complaint lodged by Shabnam Haldar, Parsekar, who is employed as her driver, has been attempting to establish a relationship with her since May 2025. Despite her repeated disinterest, the accused allegedly sent her unwanted WhatsApp messages and made frequent voice and video calls with an alleged ulterior motive.

Maina Curtorim Police have registered a case under Section 78 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023. Further investigation is underway.
