Driver injured in mishap at Pratagal

A 34-year-old driver from Dharavi-Mumbai was injured after a gas tanker fell on its side at Partagal slope early Wednesday morning.

According to Canacona Police, the tanker (MH-04-EL-7500) carrying HP gas fell on its side at the Partagal slope at about 7 am.
 The tanker was carrying HP gas from Mangalore to Kundaim when the driver is learnt to have lost control of the vehicle and it fell on its side while negotiating a sharp turn along the NH-17 road at Partagal slope.   
The driver, Asrar Ahmed, sustained injuries and was referred to Community Health Centre, Chaudi.   Fire services sources informed there was no gas leakage from the tanker and a watch was maintained for any untoward incident in the locality.   
“There was no gas leakage resulting from the accident,” fire services offiicial said.
