Drowned youth's body washes ashore

The body of the 22-year-old IT professional from Nainital-Uttarakhand, who was feared drowned at Calangute beach on Sunday, washed ashore on the Calangute beach on Monday evening.
According to reports, the deceased Himanshu Kumar had come down to Goa for vacation along with his other two friends and on Sunday evening he along with one of his friends entered the water, while another stayed on the shore. Sources said the lifeguards had earlier requested the trio not to venture into the water as the beach was closed for swimming. However, they ignored the warnings and entered the water.
Sources added that Himanshu went deeper and found himself being dragged by strong wave, while the other tourist was rescued.
