The female tourist who was admitted in a private hospital two weeks ago for suspected overdose was finally discharged from the hospital and in a statement to Calangute Police on Tuesday said that an unknown person sold energy pills to her while she was going to a night club in Vagator.
The tourist, Sara Khan has also said that she was not aware that the person who sold those pills was dealing with drugs.
Khan told the police that she borrowed the money from her friend Abhishek Singh and purchased those pills and consumed them unknowingly.
It may be recalled, the female tourist along with her partner was on a holiday to Goa when they were informed about an alleged rave party in Vagator.
The couple had checked in at a luxury beach resort in Calangute on November 19 and stepped out for sightseeing before attending the party where she reportedly consumed drugs.
After the party, the couple returned to the resort where the woman’s health deteriorated.
Calangute police had registered a case against the couple and an unknown person who sold the drugs to the tourist.
