In two separate drug raids, the North Goa Police arrested suspected peddlers with the consignment, the total value of which is estimated at around Rs 4 lakh.
The first raid at Siolim saw the arrest of one Vinod Salgaonkar, who was caught red-handed in possession of Charas. The international market value of the seized contraband is around Rs 3.41 lakh.
A 24-year-old domestic tourist from East Delhi, Pinku Pal was arrested in a following raid at Calangute. The alleged accused was caught red-handed in possession of 129 gms of Charas worth Rs 65,000. Both are arrested under relevant sections of the NDPS Act.
