Drugs worth Rs 9.4 lakh seized in Arambol

The Pernem police have arrested two persons from Chattisgarh and Himachal Pradesh for allegedly peddling drugs in the tourist-populated coastal belt of Arambol. 

The raid at Madhalawada in Arambol led to the arrest of Chandrabhooshan Duve, aged 38 years and temporarily residing in the same locality. A native of Chattisgarh, Duve was caught red-handed with suspected Charas weighing 940 grams and valued at Rs 9.40 lakh approx. 

Upon investigation, the local police apprehended his supplier namely Raju Singh residing at Madel Thivim who is a native of Himachal Pradesh. 

North SP Nidhin Valsan informed that both the accused persons are placed under arrest and are presently in police custody.
