The results of NEET examination were declared only on June 23, 2017 and immediately thereafter the Petitioners approached the department for applying to such course. rHowever, considering the objectives of holding the qualifying examination and the ultimate selection process, the students argued that there was no rationale of fixing a cut off date before the NEET results are declared. rAgreeing with their contentions, the High Court had directed the department to accept the forms of those students who could not submit it on time. rrrNEET exam not to be nullified: SC rNEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Friday refused to ‘nullify’ the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) 2017 exam, saying it would affect over six lakh candidates who have passed the test to join medical and dental courses. A three-judge bench headed by Justice Dipak Misra said it would be ‘very difficult’ to disturb the results of NEET as around 6.11 lakh candidates have cleared it and the counselling process was on.
DTE gets Court nod to use existing merit list for now
The Bombay High Court at Goa, in interim directions has allowed the Directorate of Technical Education to begin with the admission process based on its merit list already prepared.
