E20 petrol issue getting good response in Goa: Kejriwal

Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Monday said the party’s campaign on the E20 fuel issue had received an encouraging response across Goa, with people expressing concerns about its possible impact on vehicles and consumers.

Kejriwal was speaking to reporters after offering prayers at the Damodar Temple in Vasco during the ongoing 127th Damodar Saptah celebrations. He said the Saptah was an important tradition for Vasco and interacted with devotees at the temple 

premises.

Kejriwal said the AAP would continue to raise the E20 issue and take people’s concerns to the 

government.

He announced a town hall meeting at Miramar in Panaji on Wednesday, where citizens, experts and stakeholders can discuss the possible impact of E20 fuel.

AAP launches WhatsApp helpline over E20 rollout
PANAJI: AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Monday launched a WhatsApp helpline for Goans to share complaints and concerns over the rollout of E20 petrol. He said thousands of people had approached the AAP, reporting reduced mileage, pickup problems, engine issues and fuel tank damage allegedly linked to E20. He urged motorists to share their experiences on 76698 03441. Kejriwal also criticised the Centre’s ethanol policy, alleging that higher ethanol blends were being introduced without adequate scientific studies and testing. He claimed the automobile industry was being pressured to support E20 and urged prospective vehicle buyers to seek clarity on the fuel policy.
