E-commerce training for artisans, MSMEs begins in Canacona

CANACONA

A two-day technical training programme on e-commerce onboarding for artisans and MSMEs began at Canacona on Thursday.

Arts and Culture Minister Ramesh Tawadkar inaugurated the programme at Ravindra Bhavan, Canacona, with the motto ‘Sell Online, Reach More Customers, Grow Your Business’.

“We are committed to ensuring that your products can reach beyond Goa,” Tawadkar said while addressing the artisans and MSME representatives.

The programme focuses on promoting Goa’s unique products, including handicrafts and home décor, coconut and shell products, cashew and food products, crochet and textile items, bamboo and wooden crafts, and Goa-inspired souvenirs, and helping them reach national and global markets.

The initiative aims to empower local artisans and MSMEs by providing them with the skills and knowledge required to sell their products online and expand their customer base.

Besides Tawadkar, Director of Handicrafts Sagun Velip and other dignitaries interacted with local artisans undergoing the training to take their unique Goan products to national and global markets.
