CANACONA: A 65-year-old fisherman from Palolem was found dead on Tuesday evening, while on a fishing trip on Konko island.
According to local sources, Kanta Pagui has reportedly left for fishing at about 2 am on Monday night, but failed to return till afternoon.
Relatives and friends than launched a manhunt to trace his whereabouts and while searching for his usual fishing spots, found him lying on the land, with his fishing net still in sea, on the other side of Konko island.
The body was reportedly brought back to the mainland with the help of lifeguards and in the presence of police officials, informed sources.
