After filing his nomination paper before Returning Officer Shankar Gaonkar, Elvis told the media in the presence of his close supporters that only the AAP can provide an alternate to the people of Goa and free the State from corruption. “Only AAP is the hope for the people of Goa from the corrupt BJP and Congress. We can provide an alternate and corruption-free government for Goa,” he added.
When asked whether the crime branch case registered against him will have any bearing on his electoral prospects, Elvis charged the government for registering a false and fabricated case against him.
