The release of Konkani, Marathi and Hindi editions of the book “Action in Goa” written by Dr Ram Manohar Lohia marked the 54th death anniversary of the revolutionary leader on Tuesday.
The function was organised by Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Research Foundation at the Ravindra Bhavan and supported by Ravindra Bhavan, Margao, Ravindra Kelekar Dnyan mandir and 18th June Krantidin Samiti.
The books were released at the hands of Rashtra Seva Dal leader, Suresh Khairnar. in the presence of Konkani Bhasha Mandal president Anwesha Singbal, Parag Raikar and others.
Suresh Khairnar told The Goan that the ideology of Dr Ram Manohar Lohia was very much relevant in the country, which has been plagued by various issues, including unemployment, inflation, farmers’ protests and problems of industrial workers.
He pointed out that the youth of the country should take inspiration from Dr Lohia to move ahead in life and overcome the issues facing them and the country. “Today, the British and the Portuguese are not ruling the country, but Dr Lohia’s thoughts and ideology including satyagraha are much relevant in the country to tackle various issues,” he said.
