the goan I networkrPANAJIrrThe project proponent Leading Hotels Ltd had approached the MoEF after the term of the state government’s State Environment Assessment Committee (SEAC) and the State Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA) had both expired.r“The committee recommended the project for grant of Environmental Clearance on the same terms and conditions as allowed in the earlier EC and stipulated the following specific conditions along with other environmental conditions,” the MoEF EAC has recorded.rThe project proponent has promised an investment of Rs 505 crore with the potential to directly employ 704 people.rThe earlier Environmental Clearance granted by the Goa SEIAA was kept in abeyance by the National Green Tribunal in November last year with directions to the Goa-SEAC to appraise the project by considering all the materials on record within next 4 weeks and send the recommendation to SEIAA who shall further appraise the project for decision on grant of EC within 4 weeks from the date of the receipt of recommendations of SEAC.rThe project already has clearance from the CRZ authorities for limited construction between the 200-500m High Tide Line (HTL).
Environ clearance for golf course with more riders
The Expert Appraisal Committee of the Ministry of Environment and Forests has recommended environmental clearance to 18-hole golf course project while setting a set of 27 conditions to be followed during the construction phase and another five to be followed during the operational phase.
