Entertainment Society of Goa has invited entries for the special section of premier of films produced by Goans in feature and non-feature film categories at the 48th International Film Festival of India to be hosted in the State from November 20 to 28.
ESG chairperson Rajendra Talak informed that a three-member jury will select the best entries to fill the four slots in the Goa section.
The entry films have to be Konkani or Marathi for the feature film category and in Konkani, Marathi, English and Hindi for the non-feature film category.
The films can either be certified by the Central Board of Film Certification or can be uncensored. The films have to be completed between November 1, 2016 and October 31, 2017.
The length of the feature film is expected to be more than 70 minutes while that of the non-feature film has to be between 10 minutes and 70 minutes. All films are required to have English subtitles.
Each entry should be submitted along with DCP or Bluray or DVDs of the film and a non-refundable fee of Rs 5,000 for feature film and Rs 2,000 for non-feature film through a cross demand draft drawn in favour of ‘The Entertainment Society of Goa'.
The last date for receipt of completed applications is November 2, 2017. The soft copy of the form should be emailed to [email protected]. Online form and the complete list of rules and regulations are available on www.esg.co.in
Meanwhile, it was informed that the IFFI delegate registration has crossed the three thousand mark. "Around 3,704 people have applied for the delegate pass till date and 2,998 have been approved. The approval process has been smooth and speedy," Talak stated.
