Farmers at Pune expo
BICHOLIM: About 80 farmers from Bicholim and Sattari talukas participated in the national agricultural exhibition organised by 'Kissan' a farming association from Pune at Pune.
The visit of the farmers from Keri, Morlem, Poriem, Kudchirem, Karapur and surrounding areas was planned under the guidance of zonal agricultural and Water Resource Department officials.
WRD engineer Dnyneshwar Salelkar, Anant Hoble of Water Shade Management and Shivanand Gaonkar guided the farmers during the exhibition.
The farmers gathered information of different machinery and equipment like tractors, lift irrigation pumps, drips, agricultural seeds, novel irrigating systems, paddy harvesting equipment, poly houses and other machinery. Different medicinal stalls pertaining to farming were also set up at the exhibition.
