While proposing revision of Recruitment Rules for various posts, the Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has announced that henceforth all the vacancies in the government departments would be filled through staff selection commission through fast-track process.
“I propose to take the massive exercise of revision of Recruitment Rules of various posts in the Government with the latest advances in educational courses and various new degrees offered by educational institutions. A national level institute will be engaged to recommend suggestions for bringing out reforms in administration and delivery,” Sawant stated in the State Budget 2025-26.
Sawant said that it is been observed that under the existing Recruitment Rules experience certificate is mandatory from private firms to apply for LDC post. However, in the absence of such certificates many youths are not in position to apply for the government jobs.
“Hence, we have decided to amend the recruitment rules wherein one or more years’ experience in private sector would be considered as eligible for applying for government jobs,” he said.
Further, he said that to promote Goan Security guards in the private sector, the scope of Goa Human Resource Development Corporation will be expanded to cater to the private sector. Such guards will be paid remuneration at par with GHRDC rates with contribution from the Government.
With aim to recruit 4000 more people in GHRDC, Sawant said that the employees would be eligible for benefits like paid maternity leave, fee reimbursement for graduation, etc.
