After waiting for nearly six months to receive the fertiliser subsidy, farmers in Sattari taluka have finally begun receiving the subsidy, with the agriculture department depositing the amount into their bank accounts.
The subsidy will benefit around 22 farmers from various villages in Sattari taluka. The farmers had been waiting to receive the subsidy, which was stuck in administrative processes.
The release of the subsidy has provided significant relief to the farmers, who were struggling to get fertilisers during the peak season.
The farmers have now demanded that the subsidy be paid on time in the future and hope the administration will take steps to ensure that the subsidy reaches them in a timely manner.
