Final electoral rolls for Goa polls published

The final photo electoral rolls with January 2022 as the age qualification date for voting rights and which will be used for the upcoming Goa assembly elections was published by the Election Commission on Wednesday.

As many as 30,599 voters were added since November last and another 14,409 were deleted with 7,536 of these deleted voters expired.

Over 14,500 voters added to the list are first-time voters in the 18-19 age group. 

The rolls are 100 per-cent photo electoral rolls and also the entire electorate is covered under the Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC). The twin-port constituencies of Mormugao and Vasco are the smallest and largest respectively in terms of total number of voters among the State’s 40.

The total voters registered in the State are 11,56,464, in North Goa 5,39,420 and 6,17,044 in South. The percentage change over the previous roll is 1.24 per cent.
